HG 1/100 V2 Gundam

It's about time i started posting on Gundam stuff. Let me start off with this gunpla that i acquired just 2 months ago. It's a High Grade 1/100 V2 Gundam produced in 2000. The reason why I'm getting this piece is because I waited too long for the MG version and I doubt that's gonna anytime soon. Another reason is that I only go for 1/100 scale model kit because they look better in my collection if all are of the same scale :D Perhaps I'll only go for other scales such as GP-03 Dendrobium, Freedom Meteor Unit, Dynames GN Arms & macross frontier goodies, provided if i got the munnies & space.

Alright enuff said. I only did panel lining and basic colouring with gundam markers over fold sticker areas. Bloody idiot when I got this piece they didn't include the fold sticker! Anyway not like I'm gonna use them in the first place.

Flying stance

Learning how to use adobe photoshop. When I'm done I'll then "photoshop" in the "V2 wings" for it. ^_^

"Beam fan" stance :D

"Activate shield!"

"Activated! Finally.."

V2 Gundam has a core fighter with 2 attachments. Much similar to Force Impulse Gundam from "Gundam Seed Destiny" series. You can consider this as the precedent model for that concept.

Pilot: Uso Evin
A comparison with macross 7's VF-19 Fire Valkyrie. Although are 1/100 scale, their size differs significantly. V2 Gundam is considered the smallest in build as compared to the rest of the protagonist's gundam of the Gundam series.

I hope Bandai would give serious thoughts on giving this model kit an "MG" treatment. A V2 assault buster would be a tasty treat for all collectors. ^_^

totally agree, the MG ver. for V2 Gundam is way long overdue. All the UC Gundam has be MG-nised, except V2. :s

Do you use Gundam marker to draw the lines?

Perhaps Bandai can't think of any gadgets to include for this since the kit would be the one of smallest MG to be produced. :<

For MG Gundam F91 case they at least try to "make" the collector's money worth by including a "partial" XMA-01 Rafflesia, which is about the same size with V2.

Yup i used the gundam panel-lining marker to draw the lines.

There's 2 kinds actually, the water-based and oil-based. I'm using the oil-based one. :)
